The Garrett Brand Story


In developing our logo, we chose the theme of a window. Traditionally, windows used in art or other iconography represent a view toward the future.


The quatrefoil window, composed of four equal lobes, like a four-petal flower, was popularized in the early days of California's development and became a common adornment of the "Mission Revival" style of architecture.


Thus, we chose a quatrefoil window as homage to California's past.  As we stand in the window of the present, we visualize the future and are mindful of our history, culture and our relationship to the land.
