Professional Hospital Supply’s (PHS) new corporate headquarters and distribution facility will be the largest single industrial development project ever undertaken in the city of Temecula and the southwestern Riverside County region. The result of over 12 months of planning, The Garrett Group and PHS formed an alliance to develop a 32-acre site adjacent to the planned Temecula Education Center on Winchester Road and Remington. The development of the site will include a 600,000-square-foot facility, of which 75,000 square feet will serve as PHS’ new corporate headquarters and the remaining 525,000 square feet will become the company’s distribution warehouse for its medical and surgical supplies business.
To create a design that would be as captivating as it is usable, PHS and The Garrett Group worked with RGA, Office of Architectural Design, based in Irvine, California, a firm specializing in the creation of office and industrial facilities. The building style will be a state-of-the-art high cube design. Plans incorporate precise placement of the buildings to maximize the area’s naturally breathtaking valley views, the use of daylight via rooftop skylights within the warehouse to reduce energy levels, and overall functionality.
The project is in the construction document phase and will be finalized in September 2007, enabling construction to begin in the last quarter of 2007. It is anticipated that the project will be completed by the fourth quarter of 2008.
